There is a correlation between latitude and temperature according to the data I pulled. Cities that are closer to the equator have a higher average temperature compared to cities farther from the equator. The earth is not a perfect sphere, it is actually obling with a wider middle than height. That means that the equator is closer to the sun than are the poles.
Another interesting result from this data is that the higher temperatures are skewed to the 0 to 30o range. This could be cuased by the tilt of the earth on its axis. In order to verify this I could pull the data at different times of the year and compare the results.
